On March 25th and 26th 2009, the BOXSOFT User Meeting 2009 took place in Münster. We had a vivid exchange of information about the different fields of application of BOXSOFT on those two days. BOXSOFT has been successfully implemented as industry software solution in around 100 plants of the packaging industry all over Europe.

At the start, CSG presented the new technologies, which the IT will deal with in the years to come. As there are, for example:

- virtualization solutions

- new processor technologies

- the newest operating systems

- databases of different manufacturers

Within the framework of the main program, specialists from the packaging industry presented their experiences with BOXSOFT in the areas of

- document management

- electronic connection to suppliers

- JDF/JMF communication

- special hardware for warehouse order picking

CSG reported about the development results in the sectors business intelligence and optimized project communication.

Furthermore, improvements in the BOXSOFT main release 12 were presented, which has been finalized quite recently. The highlights for the corporate users are:

- new, optimized online help function (BOXSOFT Compass)

- support of new operating systems and databases

- calculation navigator

- revised screen layout

Thus, CSG sustains the position of BOXSOFT as future-oriented standard solution for the packaging industry.
